A Playstation PC Launcher in the works for PC / PS5?

Will Playstation 5 games find their way into PCs? References found in the recent PC game Spider-Man Remastered spotted by Videogameschronicle suggest that Sony may soon offer a “Playstation PC Launcher” providing Playstation Network (PSN) integration in PC games.

The references in question are to “PSNAccountLinked” and “PSNLinkingEntitlement” strings hinting at the ability to link a PSN account into PC games.

Playstation Store for PC?

Sony has so far always offered its games in PC versions via the Steam and Epic Games Store platforms but without offering any linkage with PSN accounts until now.

So the firm could offer its own PC version of the Playstation Store, perhaps with a view to allowing both PS5 and PC gaming with common saves and achievements.

For the moment, Sony is not giving any indications in this direction but its CEO has already indicated that he wants to offer several games on PC soon. After Spider-Man Remastered launched last week, two titles are expected later this year: Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
